Dear Lisa and the entire staff of IMCC,
My husband, John has been attending Insight Memory Care Center five days a week since February of this year. At first, I did not think it was necessary to have him attend a program, but as time went on, safety became an issue, as I work full time and he would be left alone.
I could see a positive difference in John within the first week. He was happy coming off the bus at the end of the day. His appetite improved and he started to maintain a healthier weight. He looks forward to going each morning. It is a very stimulating day with social, physical and cognitive activities in between very good meals. It is impossible to provide all of this at home.
I believe the person with Dementia thrives in this environment. What amazes me when I am at the center whether it be morning or end of day is the pleasant, kind and friendly atmosphere of both the staff and the residents. It is a culture of caring and respect.
I am so grateful the John has the opportunity to attend the Day Center. I believe this is a major reason he continues to be healthy and happy. Thank you and your staff for all you do.
