Volunteer

Insight Memory Care Center enjoys the involvement of many volunteers who share their talents in a variety of ways. We are truly enriched by each of our volunteers!

There are just 4 easy steps to get started! Please contact our volunteer coordinator with any questions about volunteering or getting started.

1. Fill out the Volunteer Application

The first step to volunteering is to complete the volunteer application, so we can capture your contact information and volunteer preferences. You can complete the form below and email it back, or if you prefer a paper version, print out the form to complete!

2. Attend an Orientation

Once you submit your application, we will contact you to schedule an orientation. We typically hold volunteer orientations at least once a month. The orientation gives a general introduction of IMCC and addresses the types of volunteer opportunities available. Additional training for day center volunteers gives you an overview of dementia, communication skills, and working with our unique population! Check our event calendar for upcoming dates and times!

3. Get your TB Test

Due to our licensure requirements, all volunteers are required to get a TB test (screening, skin test, or x-ray) within 30 days of your start date. Just take this form with you to your doctor or any walk-in clinic, such as Minute Clinic, for a testing. If you just need a screening, the doctor can complete the form, and you're good to go. If the skin test is administered, the results must be read 2 to 3 days later. The TB results must be updated once a year, but you can typically complete just a screening.

4. Choose a Volunteer Role!

IMCC has ongoing volunteer needs for both individuals and groups. You can read more about the opportunities below. If you have questions, or other ideas of how you’d like to get involved, please contact our volunteer coordinator at volunteer@insightmcc.org
