Sterling Location

The Mind and Body Workshop provides innovative interventions for families who have an early diagnosis of Alzheimer’s disease or another memory impairment. The workshop is a 4 session program series for both the care partner and the early stage individual to participate, promoting social engagement and peer support, while adjusting to life with a new diagnosis.

Healthy Living Session

This session will be offered weekly at Insight Memory Care Center - Sterling from 4:00 to 6:30 pm. All participants will need to provide proof of vaccination before the first session. Each session will be limited to 8 couples, both to allow for social distancing, but the small group also fosters connection and allows everyone time to participate! Session activities include:

March 7
Group Activity: Goal Setting for a Healthier You
Breakout Sessions: Dementia Basics (Care Partners); Nurture Social Connections (Participants)

March 14
Group Activity: Keep Moving
Breakout Sessions: Home Safety (Care Partners); Improve Your Balance (Participants)

March 21
Group Activity: Easy Cooking
Breakout Sessions: Coping with Stress (Care Partners); Weird & Wonderful Diets (Participants)

March 28
Group Activity: It's All Fun & Games
Breakout Sessions: Seeking Joy (Care Partners); Tips for Daily Life (Participants)

Registration is required; there is a short application and assessment process for the program to ensure a good fit for both the caregiver and early stage participant. Please contact Lindsey Vajpeyi with any questions or to register!
