Presenter </b>\n<i>Lisa Householder </i>\n\nLisa’s path into the world of
home-based support services began in her hometown of Pennsylvania\, where
she dedicated over a decade—1992 to 2008—to caring for her father and aunt
. Navigating the complexities of aging alongside her loved ones ignited a
profound passion within her to help others in her community. This experien
ce not only opened her eyes to the intricacies of elder care but also fuel
ed her journey toward making a difference in the lives of many.\n \nFrom 2
002 to 2008\, Lisa took her passion further by working as a procurement sp
ecialist in a skilled nursing community. Her hands-on experience and commi
tment to quality care laid the groundwork for what would become a pivotal
chapter of her life: co-owning a non-medical home care agency. This role a
llowed her to directly impact the well-being of countless individuals\, re
inforcing her dedication to service and advocacy.\n \nIn 2009\, Lisa reloc
ated to Northern Virginia\, where she embraced the role of Client Care Dir
ector at another non-medical home care agency. However\, her entrepreneuri
al spirit called to her\, leading to the launch of Care Connect Nova\, LLC
in 2022\, co-founded with her wife\, Sheri. Together\, they have created
a nurturing environment that focuses on holistic support for families navi
gating the aging journey.\n \nLisa’s commitment to advocacy extends beyond
her professional life\; she actively engages with the Loudoun County Cham
ber\, Senior Resource Partners\, and is a proud board member of the Loudou
n Senior Network. She embodies the heart of a true community leader\, demo
nstrating that care for others starts with understanding their needs.\n \n
In her downtime\, Lisa loves tending to her garden\, and when she dreams\,
it’s often of adventures in Costa Rica! Recently\, she and Sheri began v
olunteering for the Upending Parkinson’s program at Sportrock Climbing Cen
ter in Sterling\, Virginia. They are not just helping participants\; they
are also embracing their own aging journeys through climbing. At home in P
urcellville\, Virginia\, Lisa shares her life with Sheri\, their two dogs\
