Toni Reinhart, leader of Dementia Friendly America Herndon will share information and answer questions about the Herndon chapter. You will learn more about how your community can become certified dementia friendly and actionable steps to connect with others in the community! Light refreshments will be provided.

Dementia Friendly America - Herndon
Dementia Friendly America - Herndon is the first chapter in Virginia! Since the launch in May 2017 over 300 people have been trained in the faith community sector. As of 2018, DFA Herndon is a program of Insight Memory Care Center.

Dementia Friendly America is an initiative to bring awareness of and support for those who are living with dementia and their caregivers. Dementia Friendly America communities offer workshops to teach people about dementia, how to recognize it,
how to communicate with somebody who has it, and how to help.
