Upcoming Classes
FTD & ALS
We know of several genes that can cause hereditary FTD, ALS, and ALS with FTD, with C9orf72 the most common. Yet genetics is not the complete story, as these conditions can appear without a known genetic cause. Dr. Annie Yang from Inova who specialize in FTD and ALS discuss diagnosis and disease management when both conditions are present in the same person.
This class will be held virtually.
Virtual attendees will receive Zoom information prior to the class.
This program is a part of our monthly Care Partner Training series. All sessions are FREE and held the second Wednesday of each month.

Virtual Dementia Tour (VDT) (in-person event)
The Virtual Dementia Tour (VDT) is designed to help simulate the effects of dementia. A trained facilitator will guide participants outfitted with patented devices that alter their senses while they try to complete common everyday tasks and exercises. The Tour enables caregivers to experience for themselves the physical and mental challenges those with dementia face, and use the experience to provide better person-centered care.
