Transitioning Your Loved One to Memory Care

August 11th at 3pm
Arden Courts of Fair Oaks: 12469 Lee Jackson Memorial Highway, Fairfax, Va 22033

Making the decision to move a loved one into memory care is one of the hardest things a family will face. This workshop walks care partners through every stage of the process — from knowing when the time is right, to understanding transfer trauma, to making move-in day go as smoothly as possible. You'll leave with practical tools: what to bring, what questions to ask when you tour a community, and how to stay meaningfully connected to your loved one after the move. We'll also talk honestly about the guilt, grief, and relief that come with this decision — and how to find support for yourself along the way. Whether you're just beginning to consider memory care or are in the middle of the transition right now, this session will meet you where you are.

This class will be held in-person in Fairfax. You are signing up to attend in-person.

This workshop is presented by Dawn Jefferson, Education and Support Coordinator at Insight Memory Care Center, in partnership with Arden Courts of Fair Oaks.

This event is complimentary, but space is limited. Register soon.
