The Dementias: What's on the Treatment Horizon?

We will discuss common dementias and general stages to help you anticipate future changes. Learn about the treatment of symptoms, current research, and clinical trials available.

This class will be held virtually. Log-in information will be sent to registrants prior to the class. This program is a part of our ongoing Classes for Caregivers series. All sessions are FREE, and held the second Wednesday of each month from 1:00 to 3:00 pm.

Melanie Chadwick, RN, MS, NP
Melanie Chadwick is certified as an Adult and Gerontological Nurse Practitioner and joined the Memory Disorders Program in 2014. She received her Master of Science in Nursing degree from George Mason University in collaboration with George Washington University in 2007. She previously worked as a Hospice NP treating terminally ill older adults. Prior to hospice, she participated in a private neurology practice. Currently, Melanie specializes in evaluating and treating patients with memory problems, and functions as a clinician in the research program. She is also a member of the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and the Gerontological Advanced Practice Nurses Association.
