Understanding and Caring for a Person with Dementia
This class will discuss the different types of dementia, common behaviors, the reasons for troubling behaviors, communication techniques, and services available for caregivers.
This program is a part of the The Fairfax Caregiver Seminar Consortium Fall 2016 Series, which offers seminars designed to help family caregivers of older adults or adults with a disability manage their day-to-day issues. Speakers include experts in law, care management, finances and community resources. The events take place at locations throughout the Fairfax area.
